Structus has successfully completed a wide range of water/wastewater storage, conveyance and treatment projects in San Francisco Bay Area. We are very familiar with seismic and structural standards/requirements for these types of structures, including ACI 350.3 and the General Seismic Requirements (GSR) for SFPUC Facilities. Structus utilized a performance based design approach for seismic retrofit design of SFPUC’s Sunset, University Mound, and Stanford Heights reservoirs as well as many structures within the Sunol & Harry Tracy water treatment plants. Structus is experienced in performing analysis and design for hydro-dynamic forces for water containment structures. BRBs (Buckling Restrained Braces) and FRP (Fibre Reinforced Polymers) have been incorporated in some of the recently completed projects. Other water projects we’ve worked on include the Alameda County Water Department membrane filtration system, the Contra Costa County Briones remote disinfection facility, SFPUC’s Bay Tunnel, the O’Shaughnessy Dam intake modification, and the Oakdale Pipeline Protection structure and system wide reliability study.
