Merced Manor Reservoir Seismic Retrofit

San Francisco, CA

The Merced Manor reservoir is a concrete structure with approximately 70,000 s.f. of roof area and is sub-divided into two basins. Seismic retrofit design was based on the SFPUC UEB design standard and utilizes FEMA 356 Criteria. STRUCTUS performed non-linear push-over analyses, and calculated sloshing and hydrodynamic effects as a part of the preliminary engineering and report. STRUCTUS completed final analysis and calculations and remained involved in the project, having provided consultation to UEB who completed the Construction Documents.
