Seismic Retrofit & Historical Preservation

STRUCTUS has extensive experience with seismic evaluation, retrofit, and rehabilitation as well as preserving historic buildings. STRUCTUS has completed over 100 seismic evaluation and retrofit projects including the San Francisco Opera House, the San Francisco State Office Bldg., San Francisco General Hospital’s existing Main Building as well (as most of the older brick buildings within the campus), and Japan’s Kagoshima Airport. STRUCTUS is experienced in design and analysis of all major structural systems, including the state-of-the-art base isolation and viscous damper energy dissipation systems used in our completed Kagoshima Air Terminal Seismic Retrofit in Japan, and in the San Francisco Opera House Seismic Retrofit Project.

San Francisco, CA STRUCTUS is the prime consultant for the Seismic Retrofit Design of 22 Shop and Yard Buildings in the BART System, with a total building plan area of approximately 250,000 sf. The project includes BART maintenance shops, offices, storage 

350 McAllister St. San Francisco STRUCTUS was responsible for the seismic retrofit and historic restoration of 350 Mc Allister Street. This national registered historic landmark, a 7-story Beaux Arts Building, with a total area of 225,000 s.f., was retrofitted
