Fire Boat HQ Bldg. / Pier 22½

This is a two-story historic fire station with type V construction located on Pier 22 ½. It is supported on a timber framed pier deck and concrete piles and caps. Seismic retrofit work includes new plywood sheathed shear walls and tie-downs, and new steel beams to strengthen the existing pier structure. Seismic retrofit work was broken into phases due to lack of funding. Phase I construction has been completed.
