This 2.5 mile light rail project includes a surface station, 3 subway stations, surface tracks, and 1.5 miles of bored tunnel. STRUCTUS is responsible for the structural engineering and design of a new surface station, the concrete inverts, plinths, walkways, and jet fans’ seismic bracing in the subway tunnel, the Operation Control Center tenant improvements, as well as the seismic bracing of the electronic signage and equipment within 10 existing underground MUNI stations and 6 equipment rooms; and design of basement closure walls to facilitate utility relocations for the Market Street/Union Square station.
